New Wedding Conventions - Who Should Be Paying?

Amidst the excitement and the overwhelm of planning a wedding, there’s one major question that takes precedence over every other detail: who pays for the wedding? The answer, when it comes down to it, usually depends on yours and your partner’s own personal expectations and financial situation.

According to research, the balanced parenting style has the highest family satisfaction, lowest stress, better couple and family communication and fewer problem behaviours per child

The Parenting Version of PREPARE/ENRICH is designed to guide couples through the emotions of parenting by empowering them with insight into their parenting style, family dynamics, while focusing on the couple relationship. The Parenting Version is best used with any committed couple whose primary concerns are children and parenting issues.

Parents are less likely to be married than in the past

According to the latest census data - Marriage and divorces, Australia 2016, couples who lived together prior to marriage accounted for 80.8% of all marriages registered in 2016, an increase from the 76.1% recorded in 1996. In 1975, just 16% of married couples had lived together first, and by 1981 cohabitation had doubled with 31% of married couples recording their pre-marriage cohabitation.

Balance: continued refinement and attention to all of the following four areas in our lives

Often we find we live our lives narrowly focusing on work or home. Think about your life and the balance you maintain. Change is possible and often easier than you think.
