Facilitation Not Advice
One of the exercises in the Couple Workbook (page 14) involves financial matters. It is important not to appear to be advising couples on their financial affairs since this might be construed as providing professional financial advice for which you might be held liable if that advice could be shown to be flawed. A good principle to follow when working with any aspect of the feedback process using the Couple Workbook is not to give advice but aim to facilitate constructive and responsible couple interaction.
