There are now five inventories available in the range of Prepare-Enrich materials. Administrators trained at a Prepare Training Day already have PREPARE and PREPARE-MC available to them, and a third additional resource is now available as an add-on resource. This is PREPARE-CC (for use with cohabiting couples). Administrators who have attended an Enrich Training Day have ENRICH available, and they can purchase the MATE inventory as an additional resource. Some flexibility is needed here, but here are some general guidelines for inventory selection:
Primarily designed for never-married couples not living together and intending to marry, or never-married couples exploring the possibility of marriage. To be used primarily as a marriage preparation resource.
Primarily designed for couples intending to marry or exploring the possibility of marriage, but one or both of the partners have children from previous relationships and hence issues of blending families are involved. To be used primarily as a marriage preparation resource.
Primarily designed for cohabiting couples without children, particularly those intending to marry. Cohabiting couples in longer-term relationships with children from this relationship are more likely to benefit from taking ENRICH (see below). In the situation where one or both partners have children from previous relationships PREPARE-MC might be a better choice. To be used primarily as a marriage preparation resource.
Primarily designed for married couples or long-term cohabiting couples, to be used as a marriage/relationship enrichment or marriage/relationship counselling resource.
Primarily designed for couples over 50 as a relationship exploration resource as couples face transitions associated with the later stages of the family life cycle or for couples marrying later in life.
